Ellery & Nash does not exist. It is a plastering and drylining firm in Newcastle, built to see what a trade site looks like when it is treated with the care usually reserved for a product launch. Hairline rules instead of cards, one photographic grade across every image, and a motion layer with manners. Nobody hired me for it, which is exactly why nothing got cut.
What I set out to do
- Hairline rules, not cards: sections separated by a single line and space, the way a printed spec sheet does it.
- One photographic grade across the whole page, so it reads as graded film rather than a stock library.
- A motion layer with manners: masked headline reveals and self-drawing rules, all honouring reduced motion.
- No scroll listeners anywhere; every animation is driven without a single scroll event.
