Running solo meant juggling Notion, spreadsheets, accounting software and a pile of freelance tools that did not talk to each other. MYOS replaced the lot: clients, projects, invoices, tasks, expenses and calendar in one place, plus finding leads, auditing their sites and drafting the outreach. It runs locally, holds real client data, and never sends an email without me clicking send.
What I set out to do
- Replace Notion, spreadsheets, accounting software and scattered freelance tools with a single system that actually holds together.
- Cover the full delivery side of the business: clients, projects, tasks, invoices, expenses and a calendar.
- Cover the revenue side too, with a lead engine that finds prospects, audits their sites, scores them and drafts outreach messages.
- Keep everything local and private, because the app holds real client data that should never leave the machine.
- Default to free local AI models so running costs stay near zero, with paid models available as a conscious opt-in.
What came out of it
- A fully working local application that replaces the previous mix of Notion, spreadsheets and separate tools with a single, coherent system.
- Both sides of the business, delivery and revenue generation, now run through the same app rather than across disconnected tools.
- An email safety rule enforced at the code level, not just as a convention, so accidental sends are not possible.
- AI features available throughout the app with running costs controlled by defaulting to local models and capping monthly spend.
- A site scanner that can audit prospects and clients safely, using a pinned crawler and a consistent rule library.
