Advanced Peptides UK sell research peptides, where one careless line of copy turns into a compliance problem. I moved the shop off Shopify onto WooCommerce and kept it deliberately plain: an 18+ confirmation on the way in, a research-use-only notice in the header of every page, and cookie consent. I set up the categories, variations and a sample product, so they load the rest of the catalogue themselves. A few months later I rebuilt their affiliate programme too.
What they asked for
- Move the shop from Shopify to WordPress and WooCommerce, using the existing Shopify store as the visual reference.
- Put an 18+ confirmation, a research-use-only disclaimer and cookie consent in place for launch.
- Build the product structure, with categories, attributes and variations, so the client can add the catalogue themselves.
- Turn it round on a rush timeline.
What came out of it
- A research-use-only notice in the bar at the top of every page, alongside the delivery cut-off.
- An affiliate programme with referral links, coupon codes and a dashboard that tracks referred orders.
- A product verification page I built as a custom plugin: type the code from the label, or scan its QR, to see that batch's record and certificate.
How it was built
- WordPress and WooCommerce on the Hello Elementor theme with Elementor Pro.
- Product structure built once and handed over, so the client adds and edits products without me.
